Empowering Lives Through Compassionate Outreach
Empowering Lives Through Compassionate Outreach
Gratitude Society is a living ministryโmobile, relational, and grounded in the love of Christ. We serve across Abbotsford, Mission, and the Fraser Valley, meeting people where they are with food, prayer, shelter & recovery support, pet care, and spiritual mentorship. Every act of service is an offering of dignity, not charity.
We believe in second chances, sacred worth, and the power of presence. Whether itโs a warm meal, a safe ride, a foster home for a beloved pet, or a quiet moment of prayer, we show up with open hands and open hearts. Our volunteers come from all walks of life, united by a desire to love well and serve humbly.
We walk alongsideโnot ahead or behindโthose facing homelessness, addiction, isolation, and incarceration. We donโt fix people. We build relationships. We listen. We stay. And we trust that healing begins with gratitude.
Essential Support Services
Providing essential meals, clothing, and transportation for those in need with dignity.โIn everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak,
remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: โIt is more blessed to give than to receiveโโ
(Acts 20:35).
๐ฅช Daily Meals & Bag Lunches Program
Serving remote encampments and individuals unable to access current services
โข Mission: To ensure that no one is left behind, we deliver nutritious bag lunches and daily meals directly to people living in remote encampments or facing barriers to traditional service access.
โข What We Provide:
โข Freshly prepared bag lunches and daily meals
โข Snacks and hydration support (water, juice, coffee, tea)
โข Pet food and supplies when needed, recognizing the bond between individuals and their animals
โข Why It Matters:
โข Many individuals in remote or marginalized areas cannot reach food banks, shelters, or community kitchens.
โข By bringing meals directly to them, we restore dignity, reduce hunger, and build trust.
โข Impact:
โข Consistent nourishment improves health and resilience
โข Relational outreach opens doors to recovery, housing, and spiritual care
โข Volunteers experience firsthand the power of gratitude-centered service
Clothing & Hygiene Kits
Essential kits for comfort and dignity, addressing the basic needs of individuals. These kits are designed to provide crucial support for people in various situations, whether they are facing health challenges, undergoing transitions in their lives, or simply seeking a little extra comfort.

โGratitude Street Teamโ
โข Mobile Outreach Crew: A group of volunteers equipped to deliver meals, water, pet care, and safe rides directly to encampments, shelters, and community spaces.
โข Compassion in Action: Not just service, but relational ministry โ listening, praying, and offering dignity in every encounter.
โข Rapid Response: Ready to mobilize for urgent needs (cold weather gear, snacks, medical support).
โข Visible Presence: Wearing identifiable shirts, badges, or carrying donation cards so the community recognizes them as trusted helpers.
โข Bridge Builders: Connecting marginalized neighbors with housing, recovery, and faith mentorship opportunities.

essential services
Transforming lives through compassion, dignity, and creative outreach initiatives.
๐ Geared Toward Gratitude: Reaching the Unreachable
At Gratitude Society,Our mission is simple but profound: to serve those who are unable to access existing servicesโwhether due to location, trauma, stigma, or systemic barriers.
We show upโin remote camps, alleyways, and transitional spaces.
We bring whatโs neededโtents, blankets, food, water, spiritual care, and referrals.
We listen firstโhonoring each personโs story, culture, and dignity.
We build bridgesโconnecting people to recovery, housing, and healing, even when systems say โnot yet.โ
Our outreach is not limited by intake forms or eligibility checklists. We believe in relational accessโmeeting people where they are, with what they need, in the moment they need it.
Whether itโs a hot meal, a ride to shelter, or a prayer whispered in the cold, we carry the message of perfect love and wisdom into places others overlook.
